CULTOURFAIR

MITM Events returns to Seville at the hand of its City Council and its Mayor, Mr. Antonio Muñoz, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first B2B trade show in the world that was held in Seville in 1997 and does so with the 10th edition of CULTOURFAIR – Global Heritage Culture and Gastronomy Travel Market – the only international B2B  tradeshow worldwide specialized in high-standing cultural tourism.

CULTOURFAIR´s objective is to position high standing cultural tourism, for this purpose up to 50 international premium buyers — all of them decision makers and executives — will be selected to participate from companies specialized in the organization of: luxury travel, events (sport, concerts, oenology, gourmet, etc.), MICE, tour operators, city-breaks, heritage, gastronomy, folklore, religious etc.

The program for the event offers an agenda of up to 30 preestablished appointments with rigorously selected buyers. The workdays will be completed with a high-impact networking program, promoting contact between all participants and fostering business-links, thus guaranteeing a return on investment.

CULTOURFAIR has held its last two editions in Madrid, hailed by all its participants as a resounding success, becoming a must-not-miss event as well as one of the foremost benchmarks for international cultural tradeshows. The last edition had a select group of buyers from 29 countries, completing more than 2,000 business meetings with an estimated economic impact in the medium and long term of 200 million euros.

The event is included within the Sevilla City Office strategy to position the capital in the premium tourism segment and enhance its unique and competitive cultural offer.

Culture and creativity are two features that identify the city, which has designed and launched unique cultural tourism products that recover and promote its heritage, music, cinema and contemporary crafts. Culture is a transversal element of Seville's urban policies, which has promoted the development and extension of cultural activity throughout the city with the aim of expanding the current tourist space, improving the quality of life and being a more sustainable destination — pillars of its strategy based on the Visitor Economy.
