On 16-18 March 2021, MITT opened the season of tourism exhibitions in Russia. This year, the 27th International Travel and Tourism Trade Show was held for the first time at Crocus Expo.

Despite the current difficult situation with international travels, MITT was held in person and featured a variety of exhibitors.

Exhibitors from abroad, unable to come to the exhibition for objective reasons, invited the employees of their Russian tourism offices to participate.

Exhibiting at MITT 2021 were Turkey, Greece, Abkhazia, Maldives, Catalonia, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Cuba, Thailand, Montenegro, Israel, Bulgaria, Saxony and Albania, and the city of Alma-Ata. Among the international exhibitors, there were tour operators from Kenya, Madagascar, Peru, India, Latvia, Italy, Chile, and other countries.

A separate hall was dedicated to the exposition of the regions of Russia. Some regions of Russia that attended MITT for the first time were the Republic of Tyva, Omsk, Ivanovsk, Samara and Saratov.

Tour operators such as TUI, ART-TOUR, Kartazh Travel, Ost-West, Petrotour, Nevsky Seasons, Profkurort, Grumant and Tari Tour attended MITT 2021. Technologies in tourism were present with TravelLine, Sirena-Travel, Edelink, the reservation service Bronevik, and ITSpecial. Also participating in MITT were Krasnaya Polyana resort, cruise center Infoflot, AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines, Vityaz (an airline and travel operator of Kamchatka), cruise companies Doninturflot, Lenaturflot, and others.

MITT

For the first time, the All-Russian Meeting on Tourism was held at MITT. The closed event, organized by Rostourism, took place on 16-17 March 2021.

All three days of MITT were accompanied by a comprehensive business programme that touched upon the most pressing issues of the tourism industry. In total, the exhibition hosted 14 events with more than 80 speakers.

The central event of the MITT business programme, the 3-day forum, brought together heads of travel companies, hotels, and government officials to discuss strategic issues of the industry development.

The organizers MITT paid special attention to the Health & Safety of exhibitors and visitors. Arrival, access and registration procedures for exhibitors, contractors and visitors were non-contact. Hand cleaners were available in regular washrooms, and additional hand hygiene products were provided at business venues, hall entrances and all high traffic areas.

The exhibition venue was cleaned daily, and the premises were disinfected several times a day. Those without PPE and not observing the rules of hygiene were denied access to the exhibition venue.

The 28th edition of MITT is slated for March 15-17, 2022, also at the Crocus Expo venue in Moscow.
