Blue Diamond Resorts has announced plans to reopen five of its resorts on July 15, according to a report posted on Travelweek, a Canadian website on travel and tourism.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun, Royalton Negril Resort & Spa, Hideaway at Royalton Negril and Grand Lido Negril will resume their operations after a three-month temporary closure brought on by the pandemic.

Blue Diamond says the Cancun and Negril properties will reopen with new Safety-Assured Vacations protocols, including physical distancing guidelines, advanced dining safety, increased staff training and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), a 360º Clean Approach of all resort common areas and Diamond Clean Guest Rooms where every touchpoint is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

The destination of Cancun reopened this week, while Jamaica is set to reopen on June 15.
