France’s B&B Hotels Group Conquers Eastern Europe

The brand-new B&B Hotel Budapest City Hotel has just opened.
“It is strategic, well located, less than 1.5 km from the very downtown, right close to the Danube river and the Petőfi bridge and in the proximity of the Great Market Hall, the oldest and bigger covered market of the Hungarian capital,” says Valerio Duchini, president and CEO of B&B Hotels Italia which overlooks Hungary along with Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and Poland.
“There are 214 rooms facing the Danube river, on a 8.500 mq surface, atop of which insists on a wonderful rooftop with a breathtaking view of Buda. This venue will be a strength and starting point to establish our presence in Hungary.”
The B&B Hotels Group, belonging to the interest sphere of Goldman Sachs merchant banking, established in France in 1989, has a roadmap that already lines up almost 600 hotels, mostly in Europe (France 310, Germany 148, Italy 49, Spain 39, and 6 in Brazil).
“We are aiming to reach the 600 hotels very soon, looking for estates that can be adjusted to our customer target,” says South Europe CEO Jairo Gonzalez Monje. “The opening of the Budapest hotel marks the desire to expand our presence in eastern Europe. We already have a presence in several eastern countries, such as Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Czeck Republic and adding Hungary sets our aim to increase the services in this area. Services based on the concept of a new age of hospitality: comfort, smart services, competitive pricing.”
B&B Hotel Budapest City should become a true landmark in the touristic panorama of the city, adding to the B&B Hotels business model the match of contemporary design, competitive prices and quality of services.
“One of the main issues, when you choose a location, is not only finding the right spot, but also the right building and moreover the right partner to finalize the project,” adds Valerio Duchini. “To give life to the new hotel we partnered with Wing Zrt, the biggest hungarian group for real estate development, which remodeled in a wonderful way, due to the capability of Noah Steinberg, president of Wing, Angel, an old office building to give life to this beautiful 7 story 214 rooms hotel. It also entered the requalification project of the area.”
The new structure whose character gives life to a colorful atmosphere, with a refined and original design, accompanied by unique design pieces. The design is contemporary inspired by the culture of the area and, like all the hotels in the chain, guarantees guests all the smart services.
“Our hotel is located in Ferencvàros, the mill district, one of the most vibrant in the city. It is the cultural and university soul of Budapest, close to all the main attractions such as Central Market, Nation Hungarian Museum, the Art Building, University of technology and economics, or the famous Gellért bath,” explains Tamas Toth, general manager. “Public transport is nearby, the Corvin-Negyed underground stop is very close, the airport is just 25 minutes far. Hotel offers fast and free WI-FI in the rooms and common areas, smart TV with integrated Chromecast, air conditioning, rich buffet breakfast and four charging stations for electric cars in the vast underground parking lot.”
