Montage Hotels & Resorts to Open Property in the Bahamas

Montage Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans for Montage Cay, a private-island Bahamas resort expected to open in 2023. It is the Montage brand’s first Caribbean project, Travel Weekly reports.

Located in the Abacos, the project is a redevelopment of Matt Lowe’s Cay. The island is accessible via a 10-minute boat ride from the town of Marsh Harbour or by sea plane.

Montage Cay will span 48 acres and feature a resort and a residential community, as well as seven beaches and a 46-slip marina. The resort will have 50 all-suite accommodations.

Amenities will include an array of restaurants and bars, including an all-day eatery, a dinner-only venue, two beach bar and grille concepts, lobby and pool bars, and a spa cafe and juice bar. 

Guests will have access to the Spa Montage, a health and wellness program, a fitness center, several swimming pools, a water sports and recreation center, and the Paintbox Children’s Club.
