MSC Cruises Sets Sail for Alaska from Seattle in 2026
MSC Cruises has announced its new Alaska voyages, launching seven-night itineraries departing from Seattle starting May 2026.
The MSC Poesia will offer weekly cruises to breathtaking destinations in Alaska and Canada, marking the first time MSC Cruises will operate from its fifth U.S. homeport in Seattle. The Alaska season will also feature exclusive Panama Canal crossings between Seattle and Miami.
Passengers aboard MSC Poesia will have the opportunity to explore Alaska's natural beauty and Indigenous heritage with stops at destinations including Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, and Juneau in Alaska, and Victoria in British Columbia. The mid-sized MSC Poesia is designed to navigate the narrow Inside Passage, bringing guests close to Alaska’s stunning fjords and glaciers.
MSC Cruises EVP Lynn Torrent commented on the new itineraries: "Our Alaska sailings provide guests the chance to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most scenic destinations, combining our European-style cruising with American comforts. This expansion is a key part of our North American growth."
In addition to scenic cruising, MSC Poesia will connect to shore power while in Seattle, supporting MSC's environmental commitments. Excursions will range from ATV adventures and whale watching to cultural experiences, providing travelers diverse ways to experience Alaska’s landscapes and wildlife.
