The 39th edition of Cuba’s International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2019) got underway Monday in Havana, featuring Spain as the guest country of honor and MICE travel as the sector of choice for this year’s weeklong event.

With Cuba’s Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz in attendance, the city of Sagua la Grande was unveiled Friday as the newest travel destination of Villa Clara, a province of central Cuba.

The UK, the fair’s guest country this year, has become one of Cuba’s sixth outbound market overall and the fourth largest out of Europe.

During a presentation made within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2018) in Santa Maria Key, Mr. Oltuski spelled out details on new openings in the works on Santa Maria Key.

Nigel Baker, head of the Latin American Division at the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commonwealth, took the floor Tuesday during the grand opening of the International Tourism Fair FitCuba 2018.
