Princess Cruises Unveils Epic 2026 Alaska Season

Princess Cruises, the leading cruise line in Alaska, has announced its largest Alaska season ever for 2026, highlighted by the debut of its newest ship, the Star Princess.
This expanded program features eight ships, 180 departures, and 19 destinations, offering travelers an unparalleled selection of Alaska adventures by sea, or by both land and sea.
For the first time, guests can explore Alaska aboard a Sphere Class ship as the Star Princess sails her inaugural summer season in the region. Launching in fall 2025, the Star Princess promises an elevated cruising experience with innovative architectural features like The Dome and The Sphere, and world-class culinary offerings. Bookings open on August 1, with a "Better Than Best Price Guarantee" available until September 2, 2024.
"2026 will reinforce Princess' leadership in Alaska vacations," said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. "The deployment of the magnificent Star Princess to Alaska for the first time will offer guests unprecedented views, luxurious accommodations, and the finest food, beverages, and entertainment ever seen in the Great Land."
The 2026 Alaska season includes a variety of itineraries:
- Voyage of the Glaciers: Seven-day journeys on Discovery Princess, Grand Princess, Coral Princess, and Island Princess.
- Inside Passage: Cruises ranging from seven to 20 days with departures from Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.
- Longer Sailings: Options include a 20-day Ultimate Alaska Solstice on Ruby Princess and a 16-day Inside Passage on Emerald Princess.
Princess Cruises enhances the Alaska experience with authentic shore excursions and the award-winning "North to Alaska with Princess" program, which offers cultural and educational activities, naturalist talks, a planetarium Northern Lights experience, and a local Alaska seafood menu. Additionally, the Junior Ranger program ensures young cruisers enjoy their adventure.
Combining a cruise with a land tour offers a comprehensive Alaska vacation, including visits to Denali National Park and beyond. The 2026 season features over 20 cruisetour options, including a 15-night National Parks Tour that visits five of Alaska's most breathtaking parks. This experience combines a seven-day cruise, scenic rail travel, and stays at four Princess-owned wilderness lodges.
