Austin Adventures Resumes Cuba-Bound Tours

Austin Adventures will offer two adventure-oriented, people-to-people tours to Cuba from mid-October through mid-April 2017.
One program is geared to active adults and other is paced for family travel, although the itineraries generally follow the same routing.
The new tours mark the return of the operator to Cuba after a four-year hiatus. Austin ran a program that began in early 2012 and ran through the spring of 2013.
“As it gets easier to navigate the island, we are ready once again to share this magical paradise with our travelers in the way I’ve always imagined,” said Dan Austin, the tour operator's founder and president.
Both programs are eight nights, are priced from $3,490 per person, and feature hikes in the La Terrazas biosphere and the caves in the Valle de Finales, visits to sites in Old Havana and at Ernest Hemingway’s former estate in Cojimar, a swim at the base of a waterfall in Topes, snorkeling in the coral reefs of Playa Giron and tours of the wetlands of Cienaga de Zapata.
Austin and his wife Carol will lead the Dec. 30 departure of the tour for adults.
