Curacao Hosts Symposium for American, Canadian Tour Operators

Curacao was the host last week of the North American Tour Operator Symposium 2015 (NATOS), which counted on the participation of 27 tour operators from the U.S.A. and Canada.
Curacao Tourist Board (CTB), Curacao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) and partners in the private and public sectors united once more to realize this symposium, which significantly contributed to the development and growth of the tourism industry.
This symposium gave the participants the opportunity to exchange their ideas with CTB and partners in the private sector on the products Curacao has to offer. The participants also received the opportunity to get to know Curacao.
These types of symposiums are important because they give these tour operators information about the touristic product this destination gives. This information is extremely valuable when preparing vacation packages to sell Curacao as a destination.
Participants at the symposium were Air Canada Vacations, American Airlines Vacations, Booking.com, Bookit.com, Cheap Caribbean, Expedia, General Wholesalers, Hotelbeds.com, JetBlue Getaways, Maduro Dive Fanta-Seas, Ocean Encounters Diving USA, Pleasant Holidays, Priceline.com, Sunwing Vacations, Teamamerica, Tourico Holidays, Transat Holidays, Travel Impressions and WestJet Vacations.
They also received a presentation on the marketing for the year 2016 presented by CTB. CHATA elaborated on the products Curacao has to offer. They focused more on the number of rooms and new attractions.
Curacao Ports Authority (CPA) gave information on its work and the expansion plans. Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) elaborated on the various projects already being implemented at the airport including the expansion. The tour of the operators will also include a session of Market place where they will individually meet with the private sector partners.
