Delta Vacations Expands Cuba Travel Offers

Delta Vacations has expanded its Cuba offerings to include escorted tours that comply with the U.S. federal government's requirements for people-to-people programs.

The company on Jan. 5 introduced hotel and flight packages for independent travelers to Havana, Varadero and Cayo Santa Maria.

The new escorted tours are available for purchase for travel departing April 30 and beyond.

"Our guided experiences offer travelers the opportunity to engage in meaningful educational exchanges with Cuban people with the assistance of a local guide," said John Caldwell, Delta Vacations president.

The escorted programs include a guided seven-night Havana and Varadero tour, priced from $2,458 per person, and a five-night Havana-only tour from $1,648.

Prices include roundtrip air from Miami, accommodations, most meals, educational activities, ground transportation and the services of an English-speaking guide.

Delta Vacations said it will monitor the popularity of the escorted tours and review feedback from clients to determine what updates, if any, will be made in the future.
