Island Routes Opens Three New MINI-Routes Tours in Jamaica

Following the success of the ground breaking MINI-Routes tours launched in Jamaica in early 2017, the pioneering Tour Operator Island Routes Caribbean Adventures has introduced three new routes in Jamaica.

The tours let adventure seekers explore the real Jamaica while driving their very own MINI Cooper to destinations such as Negril, Ocho Rios, Portland, and Montego Bay. Each tour features an expert island escort who will lead guests in their own island-inspired MINI.

After a full introduction to driving in Jamaica, guests can hop in and see what makes Jamaica one of the most iconic Caribbean destinations.

The addition of these new routes, which include a full-day tour to Portland, the birthplace of tourism, as well as half-day options around Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, offer a broader choice of tour options to travelers visiting Jamaica. The tours take visitors to explore various culinary, historical, and adventure locations along Jamaica’s picturesque north coast.

The MINI-Routes to Portland route takes guests to see a side of the island most visitors haven’t experienced, including a true cultural immersion where guests get to learn about Jamaica’s heritage, see some traditional Jamaican folk dancing, and taste some authentic jerk.

Guests will also enjoy a stop at a plantation and discover some of the locations in which Jamaica inspired famous writers such as James Bond’s Ian Fleming and the playwright Noel Coward.

The brand new MINI-Routes Montego Bay Half Day route will take explorers in and around the popular town of Montego Bay. For guests looking for a slice of island life, half day tours are the perfect choice.
