Sunrise Airways Makes Inaugural Havana Flight
Sunrise Airways has expanded its service to Cuba with today’s launch of its first-ever flights to Havana. The twice-weekly service connects two of the Caribbean’s principal cities – Havana and Port-au-Prince – with the comfort and convenience of nonstop flights aboard a 180-seat Airbus A320.
Connecting service will also be available through Port-au-Prince aboard Sunrise Airways flights originating in Cap Haitien and Santo Domingo, Dominica Republic.
“We’re elevating the flight experience between Havana and Port-au-Prince to new heights of excellence,” said Philippe Bayard, President of Sunrise Airways. “Sunrise enters the Havana market committed to providing the legendary city with equally legendary service.”
The new flights to Havana brings to three the number of were launched in October 2015.
The first and only Haitian-owned airline to be awarded a Part 129 Foreign Air Carrier Certificate from the Dominican Republic, Sunrise Airways is rising to meet the progressively expanding demand for safe, reliable, and affordable air travel throughout the Western Caribbean.
From its hub in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian-owned carrier operates daily scheduled passenger service connecting key gateways across the region with the world. Sunrise Airways currently serves Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Havana, Camaguey and Santiago de Cuba in Cuba; and Cap Haitien.
