Aeromexico, Mexico's global airline, announced that it will offer a new daily flight between Toronto and Mexico City as of May 4th, 2015, becoming the second destination it serves in Canada.

Southwest Airlines filed applications on Thursday with the US Department of Transportation requesting approval to serve six regional destinations with new, daily, nonstop service from Houston.

Canada is now closer to Rio de Janeiro. Air Canada launched its operations at RIOgaleão - Tom Jobim International Airport, with the first aircraft landing at 2pm in Rio. The inaugural flight 'Rio de Janeiro-Toronto' came in fully loaded.

Air France has confirmed it will offer up to seven flights a week to Miami from Paris-Charles de Gaulle for the winter season, until March 28th, with flights operated by an Airbus A380. Miami will become the third destination in the United States for the Frech carrier.
