Irelandia Aviation and Grupo IAMSA, owners of Mexico's low-cost airline VivaAerobus and the Colombian airline VivaColombia, announced their intention to expand the Viva airline brand in Central and South America.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will celebrate its 95th anniversary on October 7, 2014, and to mark this milestone, will be unveiling a special ‘KLM 95 years’ logo on one of its MD-11 aircraft; as well as laying the first stone for a new KLM lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol, and presenting a new KLM Delftware miniature house. The first stone of KLM’s new lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol will be laid by a special guest.

A Boeing 757 aircraft landed on Thursday at the newly built international airport in Haiti's northern provincial town of Cap-Haitien, as American Airlines operates its inaugural international flight in a Haitian airport other than the one in the Caribbean country's capital Port-au-Prince.
