
Starting 25 November 2013, Air France will operate a scheduled service to Panama City, with three weekly flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, thus expanding its network to Central and South America and the Caribbean. Flights will be operated by Boeing 777-200 equipped with 309 seats.

Sunrise Airways, a new start-up airline based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, plans to expand its route network in 2013, launching new services to Kingston, Jamaica, and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, as first steps toward establishing a hub in Port-au-Prince to better serve air travel needs within the Western Caribbean.

The European Union will remove travel restrictions on Venezuela's state airline, Conviasa, after it was banned from European airspace last year due to safety concerns, Venezuelan authorities said Thursday.

JetBlue’s expansion is moving ahead at full steam, with San Jose, Costa Rica the latest destination for the company in the region. The company is launching daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose.

Aeromexico has started to serve the Los Angeles–La Paz route with modern Embraer 190 aircraft, equipped with 99 passenger seats. With this route, the airline offers its first international connection from La Paz, in addition to the existing flights to Mexico City and Culiacan, with the latter continuing to Guadalajara.
