The Trump administration has announced new actions to make it even harder for U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba under the popular people-to-people program, a modality that’s been around for quite some time.

Between January and August 2017, destinations worldwide welcomed 901 million international tourist arrivals (overnight visitors), 56 million more than in the same period of 2016, an increase of 7%.

With the arrival of four flights, three from Canada and one from Paris, the beautiful beach of Varadero in the Matanzas province, celebrated on Monday 6 November, Cuba’s breaking of the four-million-tourist mark for the second consecutive year.

Chinese age 18 to 34 accounted for 60 percent of the country’s foreign travel last year and spent more than $150 billion, Bloomberg Intelligence estimates.

Jamaica's tourism market has been growing by around six percent, according to the latest numbers to August. In the first eight-month stopover visitors to 1.625 million compared to 1.532 million in the same period in 2016.

St. Maarten will be showcased through the campaign, "The Caribbean Is Open," which is targeting multiple media sources with destination footage and traveler testimonials, along with other initiatives.
