Cuba was selected by the Canadian members of Travelzoo as the Caribbean destination they would like to visit the most over the next two years.

Travelzoo, with 30 million members worldwide, reports that the Caribbean should be prepared for the return of Americans and Canadians seeking warmth and shelter after months of lockdowns and restrictions due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

In a recent survey of those members who travel the most, Travelzoo determined that the key to kuring travelers back to the Caribbean lies in the ability of destinations to provide timely and accurate information on travel restrictions, as well as cleaning and disinfection guidelines.

Other factors include visitor safety, travel offers, low or declining numbers of Covid-19 cases, flight availability and fewer restrictions, such as mandatory quarantines and curfews.

For Canadians, Cuba tops the list, followed by (in that order) the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Bahamas and Barbados. The list is rounded out by Jamaica, Aruba, St. Lucia, St. Martin and Curaçao.
