The United States government is preparing an unprecedented enforcement action targeting up to 200,000 foreign nationals who entered the country using B1 and B2 visitor visas and subsequently filed for asylum.

According to internal planning documents and statements confirmed by the Department of State, the impending measure represents the largest coordinated visa revocation initiative in the nation’s history.

Coordinated jointly between the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the strategy focuses on identifying individuals who utilized short-term tourism or business entry channels primarily to establish long-term residency through the asylum system.

Administration officials, including high-ranking diplomats, have characterized this practice as a legal loophole that undermines formal immigration statutes.
