Air Premia Expands Fleet with Eighth Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

Air Premia, South Korea’s leading hybrid service carrier (HSC), has taken delivery of its eighth Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking a significant milestone in its ambitious fleet expansion and global route growth strategy. The new aircraft arrived on June 25, equipped with Rolls-Royce engines and offering a 344-seat configuration—including 35 premium economy and 309 standard economy seats.

The addition enhances Air Premia’s operational capacity and supports its mission to deliver smart, value-driven travel on mid- to long-haul routes. Following standard inspections, the Dreamliner will be deployed to boost service reliability and allow for increased frequencies on existing high-demand routes, while also enabling the launch of new international destinations.

Currently, Air Premia operates eight international routes: four in the Asia-Pacific regionBangkok, Tokyo Narita, Da Nang, and Hong Kong—and four transpacific routesLos Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Honolulu. With the second aircraft delivery in 2025 and a fourth spare engine also in preparation, the airline is reinforcing its operational stability and flexibility as it eyes further growth in the second half of the year.
