Chris Carter-Chapman Named New Event Director of WTM London 2025

RX’s World Travel Market London has appointed Chris Carter-Chapman as the new Event Director of WTM London, the world’s most influential travel and tourism event. WTM London will return to ExCeL London from 4 to 6 November 2025.

Carter-Chapman brings over 15 years of experience in the media and events industries, having held senior leadership positions including Head of Content, Commercial Director, and Event Director. He has successfully led and launched events across Europe, North America, and South America.

Prior to joining WTM London, Chris served nearly five years at Intelligence Squared, a specialist in live and digital events. Before that, he was Event Director at Centaur Media, where he managed the company’s marketing portfolio, including large-scale industry gatherings such as the Festival of Marketing and Marketing Week Live.

He succeeds Juliette Losardo, who has transitioned to a new leadership role within RX Arabia. In his new position, Chris will report to Jonathan Heastie, Travel Portfolio Director at RX UK.

Chris’s appointment comes at a significant moment for WTM London and its venue. ExCeL London is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025 and is completing a 25,000 sqm expansion, making it the largest fully integrated event space in Europe.

Jonathan Heastie expressed enthusiasm about the appointment:
