EventIt 2019 Kicks Off at the SEC Center in Glasglow

EventIt, the annual showcase for the business events, meetings, incentives, hospitality and festivals industry professionals in Scotland, will get underway on March 21 at the SEC Center in Glasgow.

Attracting exhibitors and buyers from across the UK and beyond, EventIt, a one-day event, delivers an inspirational day of education, learning opportunities, and unrivalled networking.

Attendees and guests will have the chance to connect with industry professionals and an ever-growing community of exhibitors and suppliers who are involved in delivering Scotland's £3.5 billion business events industry.

EventIt 2019 will be the networking event of the year, connecting meeting, event and festival planners and suppliers from all over Scotland, the UK and beyond.

Building on last year's success, EventIt 2019 will offer a variety of learning opportunities. One of them is the Learning Zone, which will allow delegates to hear from industry experts, discuss hot topics with peers and be inspired by event gurus.

Three keynote speakers will share the limelight these days and their remarks will be followed by discussions and debates on event technology, theming, communications and wellbeing.

The opening lecturer will Kim Myhre, Managing Director of MCI Experience with a work entitled “Talking about MY Generation. Who are these Millennials, Snowflakes, Gen Y and Gen Z, and what do they want from events?”

The follow-up lecturer of the day will be Linda Pereira, Executive Director of CPL Meetings & Events, Lisbon. She will tackle matters related to trending with a lecture entitled “What’s trending in the world of events”.

For those who are really interested in knowing their audience, who are operating at the cutting-edge of the MICE market and remain concerned about staff knowledge and education, the third and last keynote lecture of the day will be delivered by Rob Davidson, Managing Director of MICE Knowledge, under the title of “Defining and simplifying your customer journey”.
