ITB India 2026 Comes to a Close in Mumbai
ITB India 2026 officially launched its fourth in-person edition at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, bringing together the international travel industry for three comprehensive days of commercial networking, strategic exchange, and specialized market insights. Running from September 1 to September 3, the premier B2B gathering serves as a vital bridge connecting global suppliers with key tourism markets across India and South Asia.
The event has attracted more than 3,000 registered industry professionals, featuring over 400 qualified buyers and more than 100 international exhibiting brands. Participating entities represent a diverse geographical spread encompassing Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, Africa, Northeast Asia, and South America, showcasing destinations and hospitality innovations ranging from Columbia Pictures Aquaverse and MakeMyTrip to the Sarawak Tourism Board and the Visit Maldives Corporation.
Darren Seah, Executive Director of Messe Berlin Asia Pacific, emphasized during the opening ceremony that the robust international participation reflects the enduring strategic significance of the Indian and South Asian travel sectors. By combining targeted business matchmaking with high-level senior dialogue, the exhibition provides an essential platform for forging long-term commercial partnerships and exploring new avenues for regional growth.
Running parallel to the exhibition floor, the ITB India Conference 2026 features specialized tracks across the Knowledge & MICE Theatre and the Tech & Experience Theatre. Curated sessions address pressing industry topics, including the evolution of business events, digital transformation, hospitality innovation, and the rising demand for intentional, values-driven experiential travel among modern consumers.
A prominent new feature of this year's edition is the inaugural ITB India Leadership Roundtable, organized in partnership with global strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher. This invitation-only forum convenes top-tier decision-makers from government, hospitality, travel technology, and investment sectors to examine India's rapid ascent as both a premier global destination and an increasingly influential outbound source market.
