The Americas Tourism Summit, a groundbreaking event for the tourism sector, will debut on December 2-3, 2024, at Florida International University in Miami

The Americas Tourism Summit 2024 will feature an impressive lineup of experts, including international academics, tourism strategists, and former government officials. 

Some of the standouts on that list are Eugenio Yunis, former UNWTO director; Amora Carbajal Schumacher, ex-president of PromPerú; and Dr. Antonio Roldan-Ponce, an economist specializing in sustainability. Joining them are Daniel Hermoza Soria, a tourism trends expert; Patricia Juárez Gallegos, a proponent of smart tourism; and Dr. Jose Ernesto Pardo Vega, an authority on regional development. 

Their discussions will explore tourism’s role in sustainability, innovation, and regional development, offering a diverse range of perspectives. The summit is set to be a critical platform for shaping the future of tourism across the Americas.

The summit will also feature a panel with Verónica de Santiago, CEO of Grupo Excelencias, who will take part in a discussion on social progress in tourist destinations and its impact on rural development. A highlight will be the analysis of Paraguay's Jesuit Route, a prime example of how tourism can drive local and rural development.
