Entry Call for the Magic Awards by Excelencias 2024 Now Open
For the second year in a row, the Excelencias Group has opened the call for entries for the Magical Towns by Excelencias Awards 2024. The purpose of these awards is to recognize projects from Mexico's 177 Magical Towns in different categories.
Nominations will be open from March 18 to March 29, 2024. To participate, Magical Towns must fill out the form available through this link and send it to premiosexcelencias@excelencias.com during the established period.
In this edition, the Magical Towns will be recognized in the following categories: Religion, Cultural, Nature, Enology, Heritage, Culture, Nature, Enology, Heritage of the Magical Towns.
Cultural, Nature, Oenology, Heritage, Sustainability, Paleontology and Gastronomy. As a novelty, two categories have been added: Archeology and Inclusion. In addition, the City of Excellence and Neighborhood of Excellence awards will be presented.
Nominations will be judged by a jury made up of prominent members of the tourism industry and chaired by Jose Carlos de Santiago as President of the Excelencias Group. The selection of the winning projects will be based on a 40% popular vote, 50% jury vote and 10% vote by the Excelencias Group.
From March 18 to March 29, 2024, citizens will have the chance to vote for the Magical Towns in the different categories assigned by the jury through a form that will be available at Caribbean News Digital and Excelencias Gourmet.
The award ceremony will take place in Mexico City as part of the Tianguis Turístico on April 12, 2024.
ABOUT THE EXCELENCIAS AWARDS
The Excelencias Awards were created in 2005 by the Excelencias Group to promote excellence in Ibero-America and the Caribbean in all areas of society related to tourism, gastronomy and culture. The Excelencias International Awards are presented in Madrid, within the framework of the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR. Since then, they have become a benchmark for all those who are involved in these important sectors and develop their activity always with the goal of achieving excellence.
In 2012, the Excelencias Cuba Awards were created to pay tribute to all those who have developed social impact activities in the country, in various fields such as tourism, culture, motoring, gastronomy, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
The Excelencias Group presented the Magicos por Excelencias awards for the first time during the Tianguis Turístico 2023. In June this year, the first presentation of the "Magicos Ecuador por Excelencias Awards" will take place in collaboration with Smart City Ecuador.
