Professional Actions for Termatalia Brazil 2018 Outlined

Termatalia Brazil 2018 will be held between September 12 and 14 at the Master Convention Center of the Hotel Recanto Cataratas de Foz do Iguaçu, in the State of Paraná, under the slogan "Energy from the Waters".

The objective of the International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Welfare will act as a dynamic agent of the health tourism sector worldwide, placing the main focus on the enhancement of natural resources such as water.

The professional actions related to both knowledge and business were profiled this morning at the first meeting of the advisory committee of Termatalia in which a score of experts in health tourism from different specialties could see firsthand the structure of the fair and contributed to outline the different activities that will be developed in the "Termatalia Week".

This meeting was attended by representatives of public and private entities linked to the development of health tourism in Spain and Portugal. Participated the director of Promotion of Tourism, Carmen Pita, and the Councilor for Tourism and Thermalism of the City of Ourense, Jorge Pumar.

They were accompanied by representatives of the Institute of Foreign Trade of Spain (ICEX); of the Cluster of Mineral and Thermal Water of Galicia and of Spas of Galicia; of the Galicia Tourism Cluster; of the Campus da Auga of the University of Vigo; of the Faculty of Business Studies and Tourism of the Ourense Campus of the University of Vigo; of the Caldaria Group; from the Portuguese consultancy Ornellas Soares & Barreto Ramos; of Thermal Gala; from Yu Travel; of Peloides Termales and the Spanish Federation of Travel Agencies and experts such as the researcher Dr. Marita Souto or the municipal management expert, Rogelio Martínez.

Those attending this meeting agreed to highlight the value of the "Termatalia" brand as a reference for thermal development, especially in Latin America. The international projection that the fair has achieved in this continent will serve as an "umbrella" for Spanish companies, and especially Galician, who bet to participate in the fair.

The schedule of the "Termatalia Week" would be the following including professional actions from September 10 to September 15 (although the fair itself will be held on September 13 and 14).

- September 10th: Professional training course: "Commercialization of tourist".

- September 11th: Professional training course: "Quality protocols in thermal centers".

- September 12th: Opening session of the XIII International Meeting on Water and Health with the session on Tourism, Innovation and Sustainability.

- Days 13 and 14 of September: celebration of the International Fair of Tourism of Health and Welfare Termatalia Brazil 2018. During these days the Workshop of Tourism of Health will be celebrated - Bag of Tourist Contracting and will continue the XIII International Meeting on Water and Health (Day 13: Session on Medical Hydrology and Day 14: 1st Latin American Meeting of Thermalism and Encounter of Thermal Cities and Villas).

- Day 15 of September: tourist-thermal Routes and Networking.

Business

Business and knowledge will once again be the two main axes of the fair that will bring together professionals from around thirty countries in Euro-Asia and Latin America. With regard to business, the professionalization of the sector, both at the tourist, industrial and business levels will continue to occupy a prominent place at the fair.

Actions such as the Tourist Recruitment Exchange will convene international tour operators from Latin America and Europe in Termatalia Brazil interested in marketing and including new health destinations in their catalogs, for which they will hold B2B meetings with the companies participating in the fair.

Training

This fair has positioned itself as an important center for professional training and, in addition to the specialized courses, the training in this event is included in the so-called International Meeting on Water and Health, which celebrates its thirteenth edition converted into one of the forums on health tourism in the world, will present the most innovative projects in the development of health and wellness tourism worldwide.

The main novelty of this edition will be the celebration of the 1st Latin American Meeting of Thermalism, scheduled for the morning of Friday, September 14 and which will address issues such as Social Thermalism in Public Health Systems or Thermal Therapies in Latin America, among others.

This meeting will have the collaboration of the Federal University of Latin American Integration, UNILA, based in Foz do Iguaçu. The International Meeting on Water and Health will host three more sessions that will address health tourism from different perspectives (Session on Management, Innovation and Sustainability, Meeting of Thermal Cities and Villas and Session on Medical Hydrology).
