North America's 50 Best Restaurants Debuts in 2025

The 50 Best organization, renowned for its prestigious restaurant rankings worldwide, will debut North America’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2025.
This marks the first-ever dedicated awards program for restaurants in the United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. It will be the only comprehensive restaurant ranking for the region.
This new program expands 50 Best’s mission to be the global leader in hospitality rankings, recognizing the thriving and diverse restaurant scene across North America. William Drew, Director of Content, emphasized the importance of showcasing the region's culinary talent and providing a credible guide for food enthusiasts.
The rankings will be determined by a panel of 300 expert voters, including chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, educators, and food critics. The voting process is anonymous, and voters will select their top eight restaurant experiences from the previous two years. The voters are organized by Academy Chairs across eight sub-regions: Caribbean (excluding Cuba and Dominican Republic), USA Northeast, USA South, USA Midwest, USA West, Canada East, Canada Mid-East, and Canada West.
Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic will remain part of the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list, ensuring that these regions have their own dedicated recognition. No entry fees are required for restaurants, and all styles are eligible for inclusion in the ranking.
The debut list will culminate in the announcement of The Best Restaurant in North America 2025 at an awards ceremony, the details of which will be revealed later this year. The event promises to highlight the exceptional talent and diverse dining experiences across North America, offering food-lovers a credible resource to explore the region’s best culinary destinations.
