2010 Excelencias Awards Presented in Madrid’s FITUR
The Excelencias Awards were created in 2005 by the Excelencias Group with a view to foster excellence in different spheres, all of them tied up to both tourism and culture. Since then, the awards have become a benchmark for people and institutions linked to this major sector and willing to make excellence their common denominator in their respective fields.
As the Excelencias Group has grown in terms of publications targeting different sectors, the Excelencias Awards have moved deeper into such spheres as Gourmet and Art.
For the 2010 awards, new categories have been added, mostly those to be handed over to companies, institutions or people who have reaped major achievements and are worth being featured by these recognitions. The winner of the 2010 special award –one of the new categories- is FITUR (Madrid International Tourism Fair) for its nonstop innovation and the opening of new spaces in sync with the development of the travel and tourism market.
