Argentinean Airlines to Start Flights to Cuba, Dominican Republic and Mexico
Flights to Cuba by Aerolineas Argentinas (Argentinean Airlines, AA) will begin on January, as well as to other destinations in the Caribbean as part of a plan to expand routes, the head of AA, Mariano Recalde, confirmed on Monday.
The Buenos Aires-Havana service will begin on Sunday, January 4, 2015, a month when routes to Cancun, Mexico; and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, will also commence, all of them with stopovers in Caracas, Venezuela. In order to cover these destinations, AA will use 737-800 Boeing aircraft, with a capacity of 170 passengers.
AA will start flying to Punta Cana on Saturday, January 3, three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), while it also contemplates two flights a week to Havana on Sundays and Wednesdays, and departures to Cancun will be on Mondays and Fridays.
