Azamara Club Cruises Cancels April 12 Quest Departure

Azamara Club Cruises cancelled the April 12 departure of the Azamara Quest from Singapore as the vessel will need to undergo repairs after a March 30 engine room fire. Since April 1, the ship has remained in Sandakan (Sabah), Malaysia, while teams assessed the damage.

“We do not take any decision that impacts our guests’ vacations lightly, and are deeply sorry that this unexpected development has affected those guests’ upcoming vacation,” the company said in a statement.

Azamara will give guests on the April 12 voyage a full refund and a future cruise certificate for 30 percent of the cruise fare paid.
