Carnival Employs Social Media Strategy for Breeze Launch

Carnival Cruise Lines is using social media to showcase the launch of the new Carnival Breeze. First-time Carnival cruiser Janell Wheeler, an “American Idol” contestant from Season 9, will document her experiences with a series of video vignettes through Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
She’ll also participate in live Twitter chats and Google Hangouts. The campaign kicked off June 2 in anticipation of the Carnival Breeze’s inaugural 12-day Mediterranean cruise, which departed Venice on June 3.
