Condor Airlines to Launch Munich-Havana Service

Germany’s Condor airline will for the first time and directly connect the cities of Munich and Havana in an effort to increase flights to Cuba.
According to the Cuban Tourism Ministry, the new connection will comprise five weekly flights between the two cities, starting June 4. Condor airlines will also add a weekly flight between Havana and Frankfurt, taking that frequency to four flights a week.
In all, Condor will maintain 11 weekly flights between Europe and Cuba this summer.
Germany is a major source of tourists to Cuba, ranking among its most important markets, according to the island’s tourism ministry. Some 175,264 visitors came from Germany in 2015, representing 26 percent over the figures reported in 2014.
Condor Airlines is based in the city of Frankfurt and flies to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Asia, Africa, North and South America, and the Caribbean.
