Cruise Travel on the Rise in Belize

Belize welcomed 8.7 percent more cruise passengers in the first three months of 2017, compared to the same period in 2016.

Although passenger arrivals fell by 13.1 percent in March 2017, they rose 24.2 percent in January and 22.7 percent in February as cruise ships brought a collective total of 365,635 visitors to Belize’s shores.

According to Belize Tourism Board, these numbers offer a ‘positive outlook’ for the country’s cruise market for the remainder of this year.
