Crystal Cruises Puts Warm-Weather Getaways on Sale
Crystal Cruises is offering six warm-weather getaways through the Panama Canal in 2011, the first departing Feb. 23. Four of the voyages depart from easy-to-get-to U.S. cities such as Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and several are eligible for recently announced savings promotions.
Offered on all or some departures are bonus fare sales, bring-a-friend programs, free air, shipboard spending credits, new-to-Crystal savings, family group offers and other promotions. Travelers have a choice of 11-, 14-, or 19-day sailings, departing on Feb. 23, March 6, March 17, Aug. 25, Nov. 6 and Dec. 21.
Ports of call include Aruba, St. Barths, Grand Cayman, Antigua, Turks & Caicos, Cartagena in Colombia, Huatulco, Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. A destination expert will be on board all sailings to discuss the history and engineering of the canal and its lock coordination.
The late March and Nov. 6 Miami-to-Los Angeles sailings have been designated “Science & Technology” Experiences of Discovery voyages, with scientists, astronauts and educators on board to lead discussions. The Aug. 25 San Francisco-to-New York voyage will be “Film and Theater”-themed and feature performances and presentations by stage and film personalities and theater experts.
