Crystal Symphony Completes $65 Million, Five-Year Renovation

Crystal Cruises announced the completion of a $65 million, five-year plan to redesign and renovate each room aboard the company’s 922-passenger Crystal Symphony. The redesigned public spaces include the Avenue Saloon, which now features rich mahogany-paneled walls, leather upholstery, brass nail-head trim, sumptuous velvets and lush inset rugs among its updated colors, furnishings, materials and seating configuration. The Palm Court lounge’s panoramic view panoramic has been supplemented with a larger, spiral-design dance floor and a hand-tiled mosaic bar, with floors featuring white marble with gray wood and carpeting. The ship’s Galaxy showroom, Hollywood Theatre, Bridge Lounge and Fantasia and Waves “junior cruisers” areas have also been redesigned and renovated, and staterooms now feature electronic “do not disturb” doorbell systems, new cordless digital telephones and glass shower doors in penthouses. Crystal Symphony is currently deployed on Baltic and Northern Europe cruises; Crystal’s “Book Now” fares for 2012 Crystal Symphony voyages start at $2,355 per person, with seven- to-18-day options available in the Panama Canal, Mexican Riviera, South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. http://www.travelpulse.com/crystal-symphony-completes-65-million-fiveyear-renovation.html
