Cuba Tourism at Colombian Fair Anato 2014
The Cuban natural, cultural and heritage resources are some of the letters of introduction of the Caribbean island at the 33rd Anato Tourism Showcase 2014, to which more than 700 exhibitors are participating.
The island shows its finest products with a varied catalog, focused on raising potentialities of this sector at a stand that was overflowing with visitors yesterday, eager for knowing more about the beauties of that nation.
We are very happy. The Anato fair has been very helpful for our agencies and tour operators, our stand has been to the limit, Tania Sampedro, a communication expert at the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, told Prensa Latina.
Sampedro stressed how the Colombian market in the island has had a gradual and constant increase in the last few years.
Sun and beach destinations, nature, diving, cultural programs, stand out among Cuba's proposals at the fair, dedicated this year to the Dominican Republic and the central Colombian department of Tolima.
Referring to results reached in 2013, the expert stated that the sector closed with 2.8 million tourists but the objective is to reach three million, and we are working hard for it.
Under the slogan "Colombia open to the world," Anato brings together more than 30,000 professionals at the Corferias exhibition center. They provide a wide range with the best of international tourism come from nations such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, and Canada.
The event, organized by the Colombian Association of Travel Agency and Tourism, will conclude tomorrow.
