Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary to Meet in Long Beach

Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth on March 12 will sail into Long Beach Harbor in Southern California, where the 1936-built Queen Mary is permanently docked. This encounter will be open to the public and will feature whistle salutes and a fireworks display. Cunard says the best public viewing will be from the Promenade Deck of the Queen Mary, at the back of the ship.

Free access to the ship will be offered from 4 to 9 p.m. but parking will cost $15. Queen Elizabeth will sail into Long Beach Harbor at approximately 6:30 p.m., and the fireworks display will begin at 7:30 p.m.
