Discovery Cruise Line Reportedly Closing, Selling Ship

Discovery Cruise Line, which offers day cruises from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale to Freeport on Grand Bahama Island, is closing down on Sept. 6, the Miami Herald reports.

The company reportedly is selling its ship, the 1,200-passenger Discovery Sun, but has not revealed who is buying it or where it will operate next, the newspaper said. A company spokesperson responding to an email said she had no additional information.
