Dominican Republic to Host Caribbean Investment Conference
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference (CHICOS 2013) will be held at Punta Cana’s Hard Rock Hotel November 7 and 8 hosted by the Global Hospitality Service (HVS), the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), which represents the governments, and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), which groups the private sector.
Parris Jordan, HVS managing director for the Caribbean area and CEO of CHICOS 2013 made the announcement, and noted that the conference aims to attract major players in the hospitality business during two days and also groups a significant number of investment companies interested in pursuing the Caribbean’s best opportunities.
“We’ve chosen the Dominican Republic on this occasion, which currently has 25% of the region’s visitors and attracts half of the planned investments in the Caribbean, making the country the destination where the investment markets should focus their attention,” he said.
