Dominican Tourism Senior Officials, Hoteliers Attended FITUR 2007 in Spain

Tourism minister Felix Jimenez and Dominican hoteliers traveled to Madrid, Spain, to participate in the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR 2007).

During the fair, which ended this Sunday, Mr. Jimenez met with presidents of Spanish hotel chains and investors there, as well as with tour operators, airline executives and travel agents, to address promotion plans and projects aimed at increasing tourist visits from that market to the Dominican Republic.

In addition to the Tourism minister and private sector representatives, other Government officials traveling in the entourage were Bernardita Abbott, deputy minister for the Northern Region, and Aida Rosa Pezzotti, director of the Tourism Promotion Office for the Dominican Republic in Spain.
