Elegant Hotels Launches New Bajan Family Adventure Camp

Elegant Hotels Group has launched a new Bajan Family Adventure Camp, which lets kids choose from activities like horseback riding, catamaran trips and submarine tours for an authentic island experience.

Designed to complement each hotel’s on-site activity program, the Bajan Family Adventure Camp is available for kids ages 10-16 and includes up to three off-property excursions that lets them explore the Caribbean island with or without parents in tow. Kids can feel independent with the chance to explore sans parents while being supervised closely by trained Elegant Hotels kids club employees. Parents who want to join in on the adventure or accompany children under the age of 10 can do so at an additional cost.

Day trips on the Bajan Family Adventure Camp include an educational horseback-riding trip through Barbados’ tropical forest, which lets kids get up-close-and-personal with native green monkeys and teaches them to care for horses and ponies. Other trips include a catamaran sail along the sparkling west coast followed by an interactive sea turtle snorkel, or an Atlantis Submarine tour that takes explorers nearly 500 feet underwater to the sea bed where they get to circle a shipwreck and encounter plenty of friendly marine life.

The Bajan Family Adventure Camp is available at the collection’s four family-friendly properties in Barbados, including Turtle Beach, Tamarind, Crystal Cove and Colony Club, which all offer complimentary watersports and a dedicated on-property Flying Fish Kids Club program.

The Bajan Family Adventure Camp starts at $100 per child for a two-day camp. Additional days can be purchased at $50 per day/child. Each trip includes: transfers, excursion, guide/instructor, accompanying chaperone from property as well as snacks and beverages along the way. Parents can join the camp for $85 per day.
