Excelencias Group’s Commitment to Cuban Cuisine Recognized by WACS

On behalf of the World Association of Chef Societies (WACS), international chef Claudio Ferrer handed a distinction to Jose Carlos de Santiago, the Excelencias Group’s CEO and ambassador of the Iberian-American Gastronomy Academy, for his contribution to a better management and development of Cuba’s culinary art.
The Electrolux and Rovimpex firms also took advantage of this opportunity to give both a plaque and a distinction to Edy Fernández, president of the Cuban Federation of Culinary Associations, in a bid to officially seal the working bonds between these two organizations committed to the hands-on promotion of gastronomy on the island nation.
The Cuban chef thanked the support from both entities, as well as the high-tech cooking and food-processing equipment donated to Arte Chef, Cuba’s school of haute cuisine located in the like-name restaurant in Havana’s Vedado area.
