Excelencias Group to Have Hands-On Participation in FITUR’s New LGBT Section
As it’s already been announced and in response to its resilient-fair vocation which pays plenty of attention to tourist market’s trends and needs, FITUR will add in its upcoming edition a brand new monographic section especially aimed at LGBT segment (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals). Our company, the Excelencias Group, has decided to provide full support behind this effort and, along with an additional booth in that area (10C05G), it promises full coverage of the event.
According to Ms. Ana Larrañaga, director of FITUR, in an exclusive interview, in this first call for a LGBT hall, actions will be focused on explaining and showing the power and importance of this travel segment by debating the experiences of people who work with it, as well as by shedding light on the new space and encouraging participation. “Considering the development potential of this monographic, we believe it’s interesting for every news media organization, whether generalized or specialized in the tourism industry, and what we’ve done is to add those interested in the LGBT section to our editions.”
According to the fair’s organizing committee, there are mounting expectations of counting on some twenty exhibitors, located within 400 square meters inside the hall, while “the number of visitors is hard to be estimated, but our guess is that it’ll be high”.
“FITUR LGBT is actually open to any destination or sector element interested in attracting those groups: whether they already have a strong offer or they are starting to come up with programs. However, we shouldn’t give less importance to top outbound markets, as it’s the case of the U.S., and we must foster the promotion of FITUR LGBT among professionals because they’ll obviously be more interested in these programs”, the fair director added.
