FITUR 2015 Goes for Specialization with FITUR Health, FITUR Shopping Sections

The 35th edition of FITUR, the International Tourism Show organized by IFEMA from January 28 to February 1 next year, will be taking the specialization line developed by the show one notch up, thus matching the prevailing trend in the sector. Therefore, the fair has created two special sections: FITUR HEALTH and FITUR SHOPPING.
FITUR HEALTH is accompanied by Spaincares cluster, which was already present in the previous edition, and targets an emerging market that is backed up by a 20-percent annual growth and the turnover forecast of 128 billion euros around the world in 2015.
On the other hand, FITUR SHOPPING is sponsored by Madrid Shopping Tour, one of the first European companies specialized in shopping tourism, and it comes out because this type of tourism is gaining momentum and is related to a market segment with high buying power.
Both sections, in an effort to provide top profitability to the participating companies, will have an exhibition area at Pavilion 8, MADRID’s FAIRGROUND; as well as space for sessions, lectures and presentations, and a place devoted to host B2B meetings between companies and a group of national and international buyers that have been invited by FITUR.
With these initiatives, which join the event’s specialized sections - FITUR KNOW HOW & EXPORT, FITUR GREEN, FITUR TECH, FITUR B2B, INVESTOUR, FITUR GAY -, as well as the intense agenda of professional meetings, the Show is set to hold its next edition with plenty of optimism and the organizers are looking forward to surpassing the participation figures reported in 2014, with 9,083 companies from 165 countries and the presence of 217,780 attendees (5 percent more than the 2013 numbers), 120,231 of which are professionals - including 7,368 journalists- from 60 countries.
