Galapagos Operator Ecoventura Designates Departures for Families

Ecoventura has earmarked several cruises for families in the Galapagos Islands. Cruise rates start at $3,750 per person, double, with 25 percent discounts for kids age 7-11 and 15 percent for ages 12-17.  Space was available departures on June 16, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 28, Aug. 11, Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. Some departures are offering 5 to 15 percent discounts on adult fares.

Family trips are faster paced with snorkeling, kayaking and evening activities. Activities include an al fresco lunch while anchored in a calm bay so that guests can snorkel or kayak from the yacht. One evening includes Zodiac transportation for passengers to visit the island town of Puerto Ayora. The company operates two identical 20-passenger yachts, which have 10 twin or double cabins; two have an extra upper berth accommodating triples. These sell out first on family departures.
