Group IST’s Cuba Cruises Sailing Full Steam Ahead

Group IST's people-to-people Cuba programs, operated with Variety Cruises, are compliant with Trump's new policies and are moving "full steam ahead," according to CEO Michael Goren.

"We've been operating in Cuba for more than four years. We'll continue our programs, which use three of Variety Cruises' 50- to 72-passenger vessels that enable us to access ports and islands that large cruise lines cannot, such as the Isle of Youth, Maria La Gorda, Cayo Largo and Cienfuegos," Goren said.

Group IST's eight-day Sights and Sounds of Cuba and The Cuban Panorama itineraries include Havana, Trinidad and the tobacco farms in Vinales in addition to port calls in the smaller islands. Accommodations each night are aboard the vessels.

Air and land prices start at $5,253 per person, double aboard the 17-cabin M/V Callisto.
