Havana Air Flies to FIHAV

Mark Elias, president of Miami-based charter company Havana Air, talked to Caribbean News Digital at the 34th Havana International Fair. Mr. Elias pointed out that the company continues to see strong passenger loads to all five cities it serves from Miami and Key West.

“We start TPA / HAV service November 4th as well. We have matched airfares from scheduled carriers and see that both our Cuban passengers and our American tour and group business continue to be strong,”he said.

Uniquely to its operations, Havana Air is also fully listed in the travel agencies’ GDS systems as P1, where its flights can be booked by operators all over the country.

“We are now only seeking to see a normalization of same landing fees for the charter companies that have been extended to the scheduled carriers. In this fashion, we will continue to be a strong force in Cuba as people gravitate to those with a great deal of experience as we hold in the Cuba marketplace with both air and a fully staffed hotel ground operation,” Mr. Elias concluded.
