Holidays to Jamaica Will Prove Popular in the UK

dealchecker.co.uk, a leading online holiday specialist, say that many Brits who missed out on tickets to the summer's other major sporting events will surely be flocking to Jamaica this May for the Jamaica National Building Society's (JN) Jamaica International Invitational Meet.

The meet is set to interest British sports fans with holidays to Jamaica, as it will undoubtedly be a spectacular display of sporting prowess where a host of Olympic and World Champions will compete. Olympic Champion and world record holder Usain Bolt has confirmed he will be running at the meet, as have the World Championship 100m male and female champions, Yohan Blake and Carmelita Jeter, alongside other big name sports icons.

Mark Attwell, MD of dealchecker.co.uk, comments: "With the extra buzz surrounding sporting events this year the Jamaica International Invitational Meet is sure to bring British sports fans to the island in droves. Jamaica isn't the only Caribbean destination that's perfectly suited to sports fans this summer though: holidays to Barbados are ideal for those looking for sports not featured at the summer's biggest events in Britain. Barbados' polo and cricket seasons will be in full swing at around the same time as the meet.

"Although the Jamaica International Invitational Meet will provide a fantastic excuse for sports fans to take a trip to this beautiful island nation, Jamaica is an unbeatable holiday destination all year round. Unbelievable attractions range from historic plantation houses to wild crocodile farms, and the May weather makes early summer a perfect time to enjoy its best features. So whether holidaymakers head for the National Stadium or not, they're guaranteed to have a truly memorable Jamaican holiday."

The Jamaica National Building Society's Jamaica International Invitational Meet takes place on Saturday 5 May at Jamaica's National Stadium.
