Hotelbeds’ MarketHub Americas Comes to Successful Close in Las Vegas

Hotelbeds, the world’s number-one stock of room beds, recently concluded its annual forum, MarketHub Americas, which was held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada from 12 to 15 May, 2014. Based on the theme "Forward Thinking", all sessions and presentations over the two days gave attendees the chance to mull over tourism trends, emerging issues and key events in the industry.

This time around, Hotelbeds launched a business unit of bank transfers and activities under the "Activities" approach. The company’s managing director Paul Anthony pointed to the growing use of mobile technology to make reservations for travel services and announced the company will soon roll out a mobile application to offer travelers the chance to book activities on the fly. A leader in this segment, the brand offers more than 8,000 transfers and 12,000 optional activities in 110 countries.

A highlight of the event included a special meeting of the company's creative leadership "Upping your Elvis", which focused on the need to develop a creative mindset in dynamic hyper market today in order to foster collaboration and the development of cutting-edge solutions.

Hotelbeds also highlighted its new payment model, Liberate, which allows all of its customers to deliver the ultimate consumer the ability to pay directly to the hotel. This payment model was a service that was previously delivered only by large online travel agencies in the travel industry.

The closing ceremony was held in Gardens of the Gods Pool Oasis, the central part of Caesars Palace. Over 600 guests attended the event, which came to a close with a special performance of marine life species under a theme entitled Flash Mob in the middle of Temple Pool, near the statues and columns.
