ILTM Americas Handpicks Next-Gen Luxury Travel Buyers from Central, North America

From design to service to technology, luxury travel is transforming with a new generation of international travellers from North and Central America who are younger, more global minded, tech-savvy and high spending.

Welcoming up to 285 global, high-end experiences, ILTM Americas is the hub for these travellers’ agents to select the best of luxury travel options for their clients in 2016. 73 percent of the agents that will attend ILTM Americas 2015 will be new to ILTM events.

By 2017, travelers from Mexico alone are expected to spend US$7 billion when travelling abroad. Americans spent US$112 billion while travelling abroad last year — 7 percent more than the previous year and this is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. ILTM Americas Event Manager Simon Mayle comments:

“ILTM Americas handpicks and hosts 285 agents from only the booming North and Central American source markets, where both the young and even the more mature luxury travellers tend to be more adventurous, health conscious, and of course technology driven. It is the only event to directly connect global luxury travel suppliers with this valuable new generation of travel buyers from the US and Mexico.”

Over 33 countries are represented with experiences including Hamilton Island’s Qualia resort on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with a spectacular golf course and spa; multi-cultural and adventure tours of Georgia; trekking in Nepal; history and heritage at Heckfield Place in Hampshire, UK and contemporary luxury and spa experiences such as the Vidago Palace in Portugal and Colombia’s Casa San Agustin – Cartegena de Indias.

In addition, with gastronomy continuing to define the agendas of today’s luxury travellers, new exhibitors within this sector at ILTM Americas include wine and culinary travel designers Paladar y Tomar who create bespoke experiences around Spain and beyond, specializing in bespoke cultural, wine, food and lifestyle tours.

ILTM Americas will once again create the definitive opportunity for global luxury travel suppliers to develop business with buyers from high spending markets across North and Central America. Mr. Mayle concludes:

“ILTM Americas promises to deliver up to 15,000, 15 minute appointments for participating luxury travel suppliers to meet with a new generation of luxury travel agents, more than 70 percent new to ILTM events. We are delighted to be able to extend the event to welcome even more high end products from new sectors and meet the vigorous demand from our discerning buyers.”
